July 11th Registration & Rider briefing. 

12:00pm – 5pm On site registration opens, Ilala Lodge & Hotel
All participants to collect registration packets, fill out additional information
– All participants to sort out their bikes, put their numbers on the bikes and put onto bike racks to load onto the trucks before 16:00.
– Ilala will be selling drink tickets that can be used at Ilala throughout the ride
18:00 – Rider Briefing begins @3 Monkeys
** There will only be one briefing for the entire event – Compulsory to attend

July 12th Day 1 Chidobe ~50kms: 2kms down Chidobe Road

05:00 – Breakfast is available for registered accommodated guests at Ilala Lodge

06:00 – Participant buses depart Ilala Lodge to start of ride, (25 minutes down the road towards Hwange)

07:00 – Start of ride Day 1

Finish – Ilala Lodge

Lunch Sponsored by FBC- Included for riders with their registration. Available for supporters at own cost, direct with venue.

Afternoon Free at your leisure

16:00 – All bikes to be ready and put onto bike racks for loading onto trucks for Day 2

Dinner – Not included, at your own leisure

 

July 13thDay 2 Monde ~50kms: Starts 4kms Down Gorges Road

05:00 – Breakfast is available for registered accommodated guests at Ilala Lodge

06:00 – Participant buses depart Ilala Lodge to start of ride, on Gorges Road (20 minutes down the road towards Hwange)

07:00 – Start of ride Day 2

Finish – Wild Horizons Lookout Café

Lunch sponsored by Alliance Health- Included in registration for riders, available at

own cost to supporters at the venue.

Afternoon Free at your leisure

16:00 – All bikes to be ready and put onto bike racks for loading onto trucks for Day 3

Dinner – Not Included, at your own leisure.

July 14thDay 3 Batoka Gorge, Riding on the Edge

05:00 – Breakfast is available for registered accommodated guests at Ilala Lodge

06:00 – Participant buses depart Ilala Lodge to start of ride, (45 minutes down the Gorges Road)

07:00 – Start of ride

Finish – Ilala Lodge

Lunch – Available at Ilala Lodge for all riders, supporters at own cost

15:30 – Transfers from Ilala Lodge to Pure Africa Jetty Site

16:00 – Sunset Cruise, canapes and drinks provided with registration for all participants

18:30 – Gala Dinner (3 course meal) included in registration for all participants, Prize Giving, photos, and an evening of fun (drinks are not included and can be purchased on site using drink tickets ($10 booklets) directly from Pure Africa

21:00 – Transfers back to Ilala Lodge will be available after dinner onwards until 22:00

Please note the following:

  • Please park your vehicles on arrival outside of the Ilala cark park at the bank arcade parking lot which has been pre-booked for the event. Security will be around at the banks.
  • Mechanics and limited spares will be available at Ilala Lodge, they will charge you directly for their labour, if you have your own bike spares, please bring them along, there is a service package available but needs to be pre-booked.
  • There will be bike washers available to clean up your bike each day
  • There will only be one waterpoint per day that will have some snacks, cokes and water. A marshal point later in the ride will have water available to top up your bottles & packs. Please ensure you have sufficient water and snacks to get you to the water points.
  • Lunches will be available at the finish for riders only, all supporters to please purchase direct from venue.
  • Medical assistance is available at the finish and at your own cost for any medical care, ambulance or medic callouts. You are required to have medical aid to ride.
